Maurice Sterndale is a leading clinical hypnotherapist and hypnotist working in the north of England. He has an academic background in Engineering at Manchester University and has extensive training and experience in Clinical Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, Hypno-analysis, Suggestion therapy and EMDR. Maurice is a fellow of the prestigious British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the British Association of Medical Hypnosis (one of only a few non-medic to achieve this) He is also a fellow of the NLPPA and a member of the M.FETT. Maurice is also an accredited trainer of hypnosis and teaches, mentors and supervises both new and experienced Hypnotherapists. He has lectured for and is a tutor for the London College of clinical hypnosis, has taught numerous master classes and now teaches both hypnosis and NLP.
Maurice specializes in treating difficult cases, and has published work in the area of Body dismorphic disorder, he also speicalises in the treatment of pain and psychneuroimmunology. He regularly is heard on the radio talking about these conditions and hypnosis and hypnotherapy in general. Maurice is based at his busy Oldham based practice and works successfully with people from all over the UK (often in their own homes), with a wide range of issues, he is an NHS independent provider, and is governed by the code of conduct and ethics of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Maurice offers a wide range of hypnotherapeutic interventions to his clients, which tackle both the root cause of symptoms and the symptoms themselves. He knows that therapy must be tailored to each individual, and takes great care to understand each client and their individual needs.
Maurice also uses hypnosis extensively in his own life, especially to manage the pain associated with Arthritic symptoms.

Since qualifying in Clinical Hypnotherapy I have continued my learning curve both as a practitioner, managing my own private practice and as a lecturer for the college, initially based at the Postgraduate centre of the Manchester Royal Infirmary, now relocated to Manchester Metropolitan University, Didsbury campus lecturing on Certificate , Diploma and Postgraduate level.
